Safari Bar and Grill has transformed the corner of Randall Drive and Kingston Rd. in the centre of Historic Pickering Village into an exciting entertainment and culinary experience, bringing a little downtown flare to the Durham Region. One may feel like they are at a desert oasis when they sit in the main floor restaurant flanked by tall grass, vibrant colours of burnt orange, gold and light green. The space is slick, yet inviting and comfortable, warm hardwood floors, rustic exposed brick and large banquette seating along the perimeter with a unique grid formation in the middle of the space dividing individual quadrants with tall mountain grass. An experienced kitchen executes quality, creative food all of which, including their own signature home made desserts, is prepared daily on the premises led by an outstanding chef in local Durham resident Mike Grassam. Safari's menu really does have something for everyone, hearty salads, hand rolled pizza, tasty pasta, Black Angus steaks, and the best burger in town! Safari is also extremely kid friendly with a fun kid's menu and lots to look at for curious eyes. The lower level is home to 6 regulation size pool tables, a large beautiful stone faced bar and ample room for groups of all sizes to enjoy great music or to catch the game on one of our three 50" HD flat screen TVs or 120" HD projection screen. Safari Bar and Grill is comprised of three parts; main floor restaurant, lower level billiard room and lounge and the largest outdoor patio in Durham. Safari Bar and Grill specializes in private and corporate events for groups of 20 to 200.
